Zachary Kevorkian is a medical illustrator from Atlanta, GA by way of Phoenix. Zachary Kevorkian received his Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Oglethorpe University in 2013 and his Master of Sciences in Medical Illustration from Augusta University in 2019. Zachary from a young age was always interested in science, especially medicine, and was inspired to become a medical illustrator by his grandfather who was a paleontologist. Realizing that he could marry his love of art and science, and use it to educate, was a revelation. During his time at Oglethorpe, he minored in Biology while pursuing his artistic studies. After graduation, he worked for four years as a production assistant for a medical legal illustration company helping to create and print custom legal exhibits for depositions and courtrooms. His experience working in the professional setting led him to graduate school at Augusta University where he was able to grow as an artist and expand his knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and microbiology. Currently, Zachary is working on gaining his Board Certification of Medical Illustration from the national Association of Medical Illustrators and is actively taking on new projects.
